I've always been fascinated with Egypt, land of pharaohs and pyramids. So, diving into its climate, I found some intriguing patterns. Egypt, primarily desert, experiences minimal rainfall, making its weather mostly hot and sunny.

In summer, temperatures soar. Cairo, for instance, sees averages around 95°F (35°C) in July. But don't be surprised if mercury hits 104°F (40°C) or higher. Aswan, even hotter, often records temperatures exceeding 104°F (40°C) during these months. Nights offer little relief, with lows seldom dropping below 70°F (21°C).

Winter, on the other hand, is milder. Cairo's average temperatures in January hover around 66°F (19°C) during the day and can drop to 50°F (10°C) at night. Aswan, warmer, maintains daytime temperatures around 73°F (23°C) in winter.

Record temperatures? They're extreme. In 2013, El Kharga Oasis reported a scorching 125.6°F (52°C), the highest ever in Egypt. Conversely, Saint Catherine in Sinai Peninsula holds the record for the lowest, a chilly 13.1°F (-10.5°C) back in 1994.
