June in Virginia Beach is when summer really starts to show its colors. Days are long, sun-drenched, and absolutely inviting. Temperatures usually hover around the mid-70s to mid-80s, perfect for beach outings, picnics, and outdoor adventures. Nights are cooler, making evening strolls along the boardwalk simply delightful.

Rain does make an appearance, but it’s more of a brief guest rather than a long-term visitor. These showers are typically short-lived, often clearing up as quickly as they arrive, leaving behind fresher air and slightly cooler temperatures. It’s like nature’s way of hitting the reset button.

Humidity begins to creep up, making some days feel warmer than the thermometer suggests. Yet, this increase in moisture also makes the evenings more comfortable, especially near the water where breezes from the Atlantic offer a natural cooling effect.

For anyone planning to visit or just soak up as much of June as possible, packing should include a mix of summer attire along with a light jacket or sweater for those cooler evenings. And don’t forget an umbrella or raincoat, just in case one of those quick showers decides to say hello.
