April in Savannah, GA, brings with it a delightful shift in weather, marking a sweet spot between the mild winter chill and the upcoming summer heat. During this month, I've noticed that temperatures gracefully climb, making outdoor activities absolutely inviting. Mornings start cool, often in the low 60s (°F), but as the sun climbs, so does the thermometer, reaching highs around the mid-70s to low 80s. This temperature range is perfect for strolling through Savannah's historic streets or enjoying its lush, blooming parks.

Rainfall is something to keep an eye on, though. April showers are real here, contributing to the stunning greenery Savannah is famous for. These rains usually come in quick, heavy bursts, so having an umbrella handy is a smart move. Despite the occasional wet day, skies are often clear, and the city basks in about 8 to 10 hours of sunshine daily.

Humidity starts to make its presence felt, signaling the humid summer ahead. Yet, in April, it's more of a gentle introduction rather than an overwhelming wave. For me, this blend of warm days, cool evenings, and the occasional rain creates an ideal setting for experiencing all that Savannah has to offer, from its outdoor cafes to riverfront picnics.
