April in Paris, now that’s a time when the city truly starts to bloom. You’ve got flowers popping up everywhere, from the elegant Tuileries to the quaint gardens of Montmartre. But let’s talk weather. April can be a bit of a mixed bag, honestly. Temperatures usually hover around 12°C (54°F) during the day, but don’t be fooled, mornings and evenings can still feel quite brisk, dipping to about 5°C (41°F).

Rain? Yeah, Paris sees its fair share in April. Not the torrential downpours you might imagine, but rather light, sporadic showers. So, carrying an umbrella is more of a necessity than a fashion statement. Yet, these showers bring out a fresh, vibrant side of the city, making those sunny spells in between all the more delightful.

Speaking of sun, when it decides to grace us with its presence, Paris outdoors becomes a lively scene. Cafés spill out onto sidewalks, parks fill with locals and tourists alike, and the city’s energy is palpable. So, despite the unpredictable nature of April’s climate, it’s this transition into spring that makes Paris exceptionally charming. Layers are your best friend during this time, allowing you to adapt to the day’s whims. And really, isn’t a bit of unpredictability part of Paris’s allure?
